The goal of Pea in the Pod Fitness is to promote health and well-being during the most important time in a woman’s life. We strive to educate and empower women to use exercise and fitness to cope with many of the physical and emotional changes associated with the prenatal and postpartum period.
Medical experts agree that pregnant women who are free from any obstetric and medical problems should participate in 30 minutes or more of moderate intensity exercise on most, if not all, days of the week.

The 3 “GETS” of a Pea in the Pod Fitness Program:
1. GET OVER – A Pea in the Pod Fitness program will help you get over or prevent many of the common aches and pains associated with pregnancy.
2. GET READY – A Pea in the Pod Fitness program is geared toward getting you ready for the main event (i.e labor and delivery). Preparing for labor and delivery is like preparing for an athletic event. A Pea in the Pod Fitness program will leave you feeling strong and confident when the time comes for your baby to arrive.
3. GET BACK – A Pea in the Pod Fitness program will help you slowly and appropriately return to your pre-pregnancy fitness levels and beyond. The postnatal program will focus on restoring function to the areas that have been stressed by pregnancy and will equip you with the strength and stamina to deal with the demands of motherhood.
