What is the Tupler Technique®:
The Tupler Technique® is the only research-based, 4-step program used to heal diastasis recti and flatten the “mummy tummy”. It was created by Julie Tupler R.N. and has been around for 20 years.

What is Diastasis Recti:
The word diastasis means separation. A diastasis recti is a separation of the rectus abdominis or the outermost abdominal muscles. When the muscles separate, the connective tissue that joins them stretches sideways. The more it stretches sideways the thinner and weaker it becomes. This weakened connective tissue causes protruding organs and leads to The “mummy tummy”. This is not just a cosmetic issue. The separation weakens the support system for the back and can cause debilitating back pain. It also increases the risk of umbilical and ventral hernias.

Diastasis Facts:
•Anyone can get a diastasis. It is not gender specific. It most often occurs during pregnancy.
•The larger the separation, the weaker the support system for the back and organs.
•The diastasis does not automatically go back after the pregnancy and gets bigger with each pregnancy.
•Doing abdominals incorrectly can create a diastasis or make a current one larger.

Cancellation Policy:
•Refunds will only be given on cancellations up to 1-week prior to the class
•Cancellations after 1-week prior to the class will not be refunded
•Missed classes are not the responsibility of the instructor. Students are welcome to make up a missed class during another workshop session, assuming that session is not full.
•Due to the extreme difficulty of rescheduling large groups of women, classes will not be cancelled in inclement weather. Allow yourself extra travel time on these days.
•A minimum of 5 participants is needed for class to be held. In the event that the class is not large enough it will be rescheduled for a later date

6-Week Online Support Program:
The Tupler Technique® six-week Online support program was created for people that need more support than doing the program by themselves with the DVD. This is for people who can’t get the support they need. They either do not have a licensee in their area or if they have one but can’t get to them for some reason!

This program requires a daily six-week commitment of doing all 4 steps of the program. The first six- week part of the program is crucial in starting the healing process of the connective tissue while strengthening the inner most abdominal muscle (transverse muscle). In week six you will then learn how to incorporate the Tupler Technique® into an exercise routine so you can maintain the results you have achieved as well as to continue the process of closing your diastasis even more!
